VENUE & PARKING INFO
The Town Moor is one of the features that make Newcastle special, with around 1000 acres of open space providing a green heart to the City. It has a history as pasture land dating back to the 12th century, its land tenure and use is regulated by its own Act of Parliament.
The Town Moor hosts the annual Circus visit every August
LARGE FREE CAR PARK
The main entrance to the event will be on Grandstand Road (A189) close to the Blue House Roundabout. There will be lots of on site parking during the event. Car Park attendants will advise customers on arrival where to park. Grandstand road is always very busy so we ask drivers and pedestrians to take car when entering and leaving the event site.
There are various bus stops close to Town Moor. These are Grandstand Road Blue House, Great North Road blue House and Kenton Road Montagu Avenue. Please see local bus companies for specific bus routes and times. Both Jesmond and Gosforth are well populated areas close to Town Moor which provide various bus stops and are only a short distance from Town Moor.
The main train station is about a 10 minute drive from the circus. Taxis are readily available from the station during normal train operating hours. We do not advise walking to the event fro here. Please use the local Metro. West Jesmond is the closet local Metro stop to Town Moor. It is serviced by the yellow and green train lines. The Illford road Metro stop is also close by.
